About Zohara Beevi

Hello, I’m Zohara Beevi, and Know Your Indian Food With Zohara is my space to share India through food, ingredients, and everyday cultural moments.
I live in Tamil Nadu, India, where food is deeply tied to seasons, local produce, family kitchens, and unspoken traditions. My journey with cooking began early — around the age of 13 — by observing home kitchens where recipes were rarely written down but always remembered by heart. That early exposure shaped how I see food even today: as something lived, not just cooked.
How I Explore Indian Food & Culture
Indian food, to me, is layered and expressive.
It carries history, geography, climate, and people within it.
I don’t see food as isolated dishes — I see it as part of daily life: how ingredients are chosen, how meals are planned, how festivals change what we cook, and how food naturally brings people together.
Through my blog and Instagram, I share Indian food the way I observe it — across regions, homes, seasons, and cultures — with curiosity, respect, and care.
